BAIC FOTON and Nigeria-based Dangote Group Held Strategic Talks and Delivered an Order of Over 1,000 Vehicles

On February 25, Aliko Dangote, President of the Nigeria-based Dangote Group, led a delegation to Beijing for strategic talks with the management of BAIC FOTON. Chang Rui, General Manager of BAIC Group & Chairman of the Board of BAIC FOTON, Lu Zhenghua, Executive Vice President of BAIC FOTON, and Fu Jun, Vice President of BAIC FOTON and President of BAIC FOTON International, attended the meeting. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on deepening strategic cooperation and promoting Africa's green industrial development.


 

During the talks, Chang Rui extended a warm welcome to Mr. Dangote and his delegation and expressed his appreciation for the Dangote Group's long-standing contributions to advancing Africa's industrialization. Fu Jun provided a comprehensive overview of BAIC FOTON's development history, global footprint, and the latest advancements in new energy technologies. He emphasized that BAIC FOTON remains steadfast in its customer-centric approach and is committed to delivering high-quality products and full lifecycle solutions to global partners. He also reaffirmed the company's dedication to ensuring the smooth delivery of the Dangote Group's order, supporting their business growth with exceptional products and service

 

Aliko Dangote spoke highly of the technological strength and global strategy of BAIC FOTON in the field of new energy commercial vehicles. The two sides reached broad consensus on Africa's sustainable development goals and energy transition strategy. They also had in-depth discussions on potential cooperation in areas such as joint ventures and the promotion of a full range of new energy products.


 

After the talks, a vehicle delivery ceremony was held, marking a new phase in the cooperation between BAIC FOTON and Dangote Group. The signed logistics transport project involves an order of over 1,000 vehicles, including CNG tractors and semi-trailers. These vehicles will significantly support Dangote Group's logistics operations in Nigeria and across Africa, providing reliable transport capacity for local infrastructure development and the delivery of essential services.
