On April 22, 2026, FOTON Motor officially launched its first FOTON DAY in Beijing. Media and dealer representatives from Europe, the Americas, and Southeast Asia gathered in the city, touring FOTON's manufacturing facilities, experiencing its latest products, and attending a 30th anniversary gala dinner held at the foot of the Badaling section of the Great Wall that evening. Through four key dimensions—factory, products, culture, and the company's 30-year development journey—the event presented a comprehensive narrative of FOTON Motor's global brand story.

 

 

Intelligent Manufacturing Strength and Product Experience

 

That morning, the delegation visited the FOTON Cummins plant, the X Laboratory, and the AUV Global R&D Center, gaining firsthand insight into commercial vehicle automated production lines and core new energy technologies. At the FOTON Cummins facility, technical staff provided a detailed overview of the intelligent engine manufacturing process. The 'future workstation,' integrated with 13 AI modules, received widespread praise from attending media. As an open factory oriented toward global markets, it offered a clear demonstration of FOTON's technological capabilities and production assurance strength. Several overseas journalists noted that FOTON's level of intelligent manufacturing exceeded their expectations.

 

In the afternoon, participants joined a test drive session. FOTON Motor showcased its full product lineup along with several new models, including GALAXUS, DAYSTAR, and eViewConnect, covering heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, and new energy vehicles. The test route combined urban roads with simulated operating conditions, focusing on vehicle power response, handling stability, and real-world performance of the new energy systems.

 


 

A simultaneous live-streaming session was also set up on site. Media representatives broadcasted in real time via personal and organizational accounts, sharing first-hand impressions of the test drive and engaging in live discussions on vehicle performance and smart features. During the livestream, the range and charging efficiency of the new energy models drew significant attention. The smooth power delivery and intelligent driver-assistance systems of several new models also sparked active discussion among viewers.

At the evening event, FOTON Motor officially launched the 'FOTON GALAXUS Global Expedition.' Centered around the GALAXUS flagship model as its symbolic core, the program represents both brand heritage and global expansion. A flag presentation ceremony was held on site, during which Li Xiangdong, Deputy General Manager of Overseas Heavy-Duty Truck Marketing at FOTON Motor, handed over the flag to the Latin America pioneering team.
